Just another question and no need to answer directly as it may be a personal computer set up.

Do you run -

A ram disk program? A 3rd party extra disk partition/drive program for running your programs at ram speed.

A virtual OS program? A protective virtual container type OS program.

A Crypto protection program with a hidden container? For security reasons.

Yes to any of the above which set aside ram and may show as reduced ram amount to windows....

Just a thought.
