In florida the local moslem civil rights groups sued the state of florida because they refused to take the burka off to get a facial photo for a drivers license. I do not know what the result was.

But I really dont care if someone wears a burka and does telemarketing. Do the hassiidim become car salesmen in flint michigan? Part of the fundamentalist lore is men dressing up in burkas so they can not be id's and women switching burkas so they can do other things etc. Origianlly they are present so lust is not inflamed and to provide the sense of difference between home and safety and outside and not safety.

It is also against the rules for any women with a burka to go unaccompanied without a man outside the home I thought.

Its more than just economics or politics, its a way of life that feels good to them. And it is a mixture of old religion and hatred. If you ever get a chance to watch jihad in america, its clearly threatening to those that do not partake and try to take a middle road because they can be called kafir. any unbeleivers are considered infidels and their blood must can be spilled kafir!
