Rousseff's hospitalization and her lengthy recovery from pneumonia in May renewed concerns over her health, which first surfaced in April 2009 when she announced she was being treated for lymphoma… According to Epoca news magazine, which cites government officials and Rousseff's doctors, the 63-year-old trained economist has diabetes, hypothyroidism, and occasionally high blood pressure. During her treatment for pneumonia she complained of stomach pains, showed signs of an over-worked liver and had a low white blood cell count. According to Epoca, Rousseff was taking 28 types of pills…

This excerpt from Reuters makes it sound like Rousseff is a basket case with one foot in the grave rather than someone who ran for President of Brazil and won handily less than a year ago.
