Eddie I am very impressed at the cooking abilities and the proper use of spices and flavoring in the Salmon and the BBQ Beans We ate tonight.
This was refreshing in a time when going out to eat at a national chain is like eating TV dinners from the sixties and seventies with a waitress serving them.
It is rare to find foods whether it be at retail or in restaurants that have the perfect balance of spices and seasoning to bring out the best qualities of the food.
Being a former Spice salesmen for Durkee and a restaurant owner and from a long family of that industry I will tell you I had to add nothing to get the perfect flavor.
The Salmon was very tender moist and not a bit over spiced, Now I loved it so much I will have to order more and my daughter already asked when we will be doing that. lol
The BBQ beans I did the usual cold taste test to see what needed added from the trusty spice cabinet and I was very surprised to see the perfect balance of the BBQ flavoring with the perfect blend of mustard to make them a treat. Just a hint of clove cinnamon and a little of some wine mustard I do think.
'I thought well I will cook them and see if it is the same and when finished they were even better then cold.
I am now lookign forward to sitting down Friday night with some great friends to sample the Chicken and the Beef with a couple cold beers and some wine.
Of course since he is a district manager with the largest chip company in the world and many years in grocery we will see what we think collectively about Smokey and were it is going now. dave
