The only thing that appears to make a difference in this crazy game is CASH and NEWS

That about half of it!

Look at the history: what have they done, where have they failed, where succeeded?

Look at their goals: are they possible or smoke & mirrors BS? If possible, what's the potential market? (In other words, why are they even bothering and why are you even bothering to invest?)

Look at the pedigree of the management: mutts beget mutts.

Look at the partners: the quality, the type, the level of commitment.

Most importantly, IMO, look at the real science. This is the most-neglected aspect because it's so damn complicated and so damn difficult. It's my biggest weakness; I'm not a doc/scientist. Therefore, I try to be a good detective, I diligently research, I'm willing to learn, I establish the credentials of experts to my own level of confidence and I listen to them.

I'm a risk-taker and to me biotechs are fun, but they're dangerous fun.
