Honestly, I think if they come to see an advantage in it they would do it in a heartbeat but I'm not sure that would be best for this new company. Years ago, I spent a week with a senior Intel engineer when they were just starting out not long after we came out with the first PC. IBM engineers felt like it was beneath them to design it so we used all OEM parts. Nothing in the first IBM PC was manufactured by IBM. Intel's processor was one of those components. I could see then Intel was young and hungry and look where they are today. IBM has not always taken advantage of all the niches they had a chance at and this could also be one of those times.
