The BusinessWire refusal to issue a news release is adding fuel to the fire.

No it isn't. Nobody cares but you guys. I'm no fan of Bizwire, but they had every reason to refuse to distribute it. It wasn't a PR, it was a solicitation for money for a product that may never exist.

And the ticker spam was outrageous. Bizwire routinely refuses to run PRs that contain too much.
