Sincere comments welcome, a re-post from RB.
(I figure that the community over here is more inclined to ponder this question and rebuke me accordingly, if necessary.)

Is it possible for ERHC Energy to become a subsidiary of some other company, allowing Offor and Memon to maintain their positions of influence? I don't see Offor disappearing off the radar with a billion dollars. He already has that. I also find it quite possible that some company would make ERHC an offer they cannot refuse.

If this were possible, I see it as a win-win-win.

1. The parent company gets Offor and Memon and their maximizing/multiplying influence in the region, as well as the rights to a lot of oil. $$$$

2. Shareholders get a significant immediate return on their investement. $$$$$

3.Offor and Memon keep their jobs and continue to call shots and make decisions in the region, although with additional oversight but with a lot of rein. The parent company would let the big dog hunt and eat. Power and $$$$.
