Do-gooders often drive up the Premiums with
legislation. I've heard stories where a young
single guy wanted bare-bones insurance that
only covered major health problems; he was
expecting to pay maybe $30 per month.
However, the legislature in his state said "ALL
POLICIES" had to cover AIDS and sex-change
operations and pregnancies ... ; this drove
his premium up over $150 per month, so he
decided to go without insurance ... . I think
his state was New York or Mass or Conn.
Michigan may have the same problem.
