Here's todays WT-A...

B) Pull off the road quickly and stop, making sure not to touch any interior metal.

B) Correct! Getting struck by lightning is more common than people realize. Not only is a car mostly made of metal, but because it's off the ground it acts like a lightning rod. Though it may be a hair-raising experience and can cause other peripheral problems, being in your car is often the safest place to be.

Cars act like a safety cage, conducting the electricity away from you and into the ground. The amount of damage a car sustains from lightning depends on the model. Older, mostly metal vehicles fare better than newer vehicles that have a lot of electronics that can short or catch fire.

The best thing to do if your car is struck with lightning is to sit with your hands in your lap, not touching any interior or exterior part of the vehicle.

We all got it right, but for Lacy who made a guess today: A), sorry sweetness, better luck next time!
