I wish is could say the dry weather and sun breaks are going to last. Sorry. The break from the rain will be short. Another storm system is bearing down on the Pacific Northwest.

Tonight clouds will increase on the coast and rain will return by early today morning. I think Portland and the Willamette Valley will stay dry until the late morning hours. Good news is the system is rather weak and rainfall amounts will be less than .25". Snow levels in The Cascades will stay near the 3,000ft level.

Spring begins Sunday afternoon at 4:21. Looking ahead to the first week of spring. We should be drier and warmer. Temperatures will be close to normal, upper 50s. Spring break week looks to be mainly dry, with highs in the upper 50s. Keep your fingers crossed we might even see our first 60 degree reading next week!

5. You are driving in an RV across the desert to get to the Grand Canyon. Ahead on the horizon you see a dark brown cloud of dust coming toward you. There is no avoiding it as it begins to rush past you, minimizing your visibility and swaying your car with the strong winds. WHAT IS YOUR IMMEDIATE COURSE OF ACTION?

A) Proceed at a speed suitable for visibility, turn on your headlights and sound horn occasionally. Use the painted center line to help guide you.

B) Keep driving at a safe speed of 30 mph on the very right side of the road.

C) Pull the car over and get out of the vehicle to seek shelter.
