Just an off-hand comment as I'm not up on the specifics. Given Exxon's static if not declining oil reserves it is hard to believe that they would be throwing in the towel after a dry hole or two in what might be a very prospective region. You might consider querying HES' opinion re the omission from Exxon's map..
