Though I've read a fair amount on the subject over the years (interest in Hiroshima & Nagasaki led me to the science behind the bomb which led me to a layman's understanding of nuclear energy), I don't have the specific credentials or knowledge to disagree with you.

However, this is a Reuters article from within the last hour. It's saying that they may have only a very limited amount of time to prevent a meltdown.
