Clearly your comprehension of my post was different than what I was posting.

I said:

"Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference but if every person who voted for Nader (to make a statement only), had voted for Kerry.....would he have won?"

I was not talking about real Nader supporters which I am sure there are some.

I am talking about the people who vote for a person that they know cannot win just to "make a statement" that they do not like either candidate.

I am saying that if you don't like the candidate who is already in office........why take away votes from someone who could actually beat him.

I know of at least 3 posters on these boards off the top of my head who said they were voting for Nader because they wanted to make a statement.

I don't think anyone heard them.
