This sudden change of Martinelli from Pro-Mining to Anti-Mining is not usual
That's what has me spooked more than anything else. Go ahead and repeal Law 8, it doesn't affect us at all, but for Martinelli to change so drastically, so suddenly, has me freaked out. How do I know the gov't won't decide tomorrow to close PTQ for 6 months as mjk suggests it might. If it's closed for six months, why not six years? What if the repeal bill includes a moratorium rider? HOw is anyone supposed to be certain about mining in Panama if things can change so drastically, so rapidly? How do we know that the leftists, now given an inch, won't take a mile? I thought we were really solid, then BAM! F-, this has me really pissed off!!!
