RE: What's a moat.

Moat: A whole in the ground that is filled with water that can not be avoided when you discover that the stock you own is really in a business that does not have a barrier to entry, whose main product is leapfrogged by new advances,or the company is sued for patent infringement. A sinking feeling usually follows.
