I totally agree with your last paragraph. The Cyclone technology will be very useful in transitioning off of petroleum and fossil fuels in general.

However, I must emphasize that there is nothing inherently wrong with consumption. The problem is that our consumption patterns are not sustainable. The fault lies primarily with a corrupted monetary system that divorces the price structure from the underlying facts of resource scarcities and consumer demands. A capital intensive economy requires a free and dynamic price system in a tight feedback control with these facts of reality. But a currency under central control and continual manipulation cannot provide this. Today, the price structure is shaped not by gauging reality, but by political considerations. This will persist as long as politicians have control of our currency.

It may seem like our discussion is off topic. But I believe that we should be having these conversations to better understand how we all got into this predicament that makes the Cyclone technology so compelling. In fact, it was my study of economics that began during 2005 that led to my research into modern steam technology and introduction to the Cyclone engines.
