I was just correcting your statement that there are no profits.
The large dominant companies are awarded a valuation premium by the market. None of these companies is at risk of going out of business anytime soon. A lot of the other companies that have no profits at all and which are at risk of going out of business have much higher valuations than DELL or Intel.

The whole issue of "valuation" is complex and does not yield easily to quickie comments.
