Shorting and other muses...this past spring/late winter Japan tightened rules on shorting...it led to a massive rise, similar to ours...and then what happened..thud...it will happen here.

Obviously, the fed and banks like gs, c, jpm don't care long term what they are doing to the financial system...its all short term fixes for their own benefit often..and sad.
This pumping of the equity markets is blatant and criminal, i really mean that. The natural forces are being tinkered with in a way that CANNOT help longer term.
As many including misoft has said, any pullback is defended, the "important stocks" light up like christmas trees at critical
moments. More blatant: most of this "rally" is from giant gaps that never get filed..in large part from "mysterious" overnigt futues ramps. Gee who can that be?
What pisses me of is that both parties are complicit..and neither say a thing on real issues in our country..nothing is spoken about, nothing, and when it is its pandering. I' not a believer in gov handouts/program...but am a believer in leadership and we have NONE on either side.
Back to shorting:
I think its important we not lump all shorters as bad guys..that is wrong..as we all know they provide liquidity at times and a check on imablances. Yes, i'm short many things now and hurting, giving back most of this years gains..was way up in ealry oct. But like many i saw the insane rise in semis this spring and shorted heavily..there WAS no recovery even thoug the pundits and data "said so"... after closing those shorts this summer into oct..for giant gains..i reshorted in late oct....and we know whats happened. The valuatations on these semis is absurd in my opinion. But the powers that be dont care and played us currently short like a fiddle. Hey..im a tech junkie and technology is great...but these are becoming commodities and the China factor will only make it worse long term.
I know this isnt supposed to be a political rant board..but ive kept my rant party neutral!!!!
