EXEL—Please correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I think it is an error to critique the results from lack of published historical data, because there has never been any substance that has ever had results anything near these results.

You’ve seen the car ads that tout a model as “best in its class.” Well, when it turns out that the “class” contains but one model, doesn’t it make you question the significance of the message?

What EXEL is doing is not exactly the same as the car ad, but it’s similar. It’s touting a metric—“bone-scan resolution”—that isn’t precisely defined and hasn’t been cited in previous peer-reviewed studies. That’s enough to make me a skeptic until there is evidence to the contrary. And let’s not forget that XL184 was dumped by Big Pharma for reasons that might not be entirely benign.
