Holy cow those are HUGE!

The guy in the pic fighting one looks like he's standing on a pier LOL. Not a lightweight rod either. That 'boat' must be pretty sturdy.

I haven't done much lake fishing for rainbows up in BC other than for those Kamloops torpedoes.
Wow they are lots of fun. Or at least were, it has been a long time.

Little chironomids on long leaders and strike indicator dead drifted just above bottom. Light takes but when they knew they were hooked it sure sent the reel screaming and the backing thru the guides in short order.

Great fun in a float tube getting spun around except when you get them close trying to net them and have that long leader. Lost a few next to the tube with the coordination mishaps and nice fish deciding they weren't ready to be netted (several pounds) smile.

Darn things reminded me of steelhead with their thick backs and fighting ability.

Have fun with the chance at a huge rainbow. Sounds like accomodations on that thing resemble more of a yacht than a fishin' boat!

I don't mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence... But I can't feed on the powerless when my cup's already overfilled.
