Here is the pie chart that ZTE put out recently, where they think that IDCC has 24% (13% + 11%) of the essential LTE patents and QCOM only has 13%.

How is it that a small company such as IDCC holds so many LTE essential patents versus such a large company as Qualcom, 24% versus 13%. Does it have to do with the quality of engineers or possibly quantity versus quality? One guys huge watermellon may have more meat than the other guys 10 small watermellons? Seems strange if these figures are even remotely accurate. .. mo. nic
