the details,the details......

I'm not strong on TNC details so i'll
just comment on the TPM ones.....

"A TPM is the hardware component of a trusted platform. Chip vendors such as Broadcom Corp. and Atmel Corp. are shipping TPMs to PC vendors, including HP and IBM"

Broadcom ships to Dell only & Atmel lost
the IBM contract...as we know Infineon currently
supplies HP & NSM supplies IBM.

"TPM implementations are already running in Windows and Linux. For example, IBM ships some ThinkPad T-series notebooks and NetVista desktops with Atmel TPMs installed. Users can download and install the drivers and application, called Embedded Security Subsystem 2.0, to provide secure storage for passwords, file and folder encryption, and a Microsoft GINA (Graphical Identification and Authorization) replacement that leverages the TPM."

ESS 2.0 is Years Old,it's now 5.6 or higher
& again no mention of NSM in IBM Thinkpads.

"IBM Research has developed a Linux TPM driver, and Applied Data Security Group has a Linux driver for the Infineon SLD 9630 TPM and a trusted GRUB boot loader. These forays by commercial and open-source projects demonstrate the viability of the TPM to operate on nearly any platform."

Ha....This is Infineon's Only mention.Infineon
that is that currently Dominates the Whole TPM & TSS
Market! There's also no mention of the TSS's or
NTRU.The article mentions TTP attestation but
fails to mention any providers or TPM Key
management.....blah blah i could go on.....

It's an O.K article imo that covers a lot of
ground but suffers by some incorrect details...........
