If for some reason such continues to be the case with the FTD situation, then that would be an added plus in my opinion.
That FTD situation in NWTT was involving a single day event that went away the next day (i.e. The FTD covered itself) In the month of trading for December, by that report, only one trade day had any trading that resulted in an FTD and the FTD did not persist on day 2. The next time an FTD is reported to the system that number will be the next event and would the sum total fails in the system in this market (i.e no massive accumulation of fails that could generate a short squeeze; fails are reported as aggregate and not something you add up based on daily reports). These reports are likewise delayed by 2 - 3 weeks so you do not even see it real time.
