"In a startling about-turn, current Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said last month that the accusations leveled by him and his allies that Syria was involved in the murder of his father were "political" and had been withdrawn."

It might be startling to the writer of the article but not so startling to anyone who has followed this story closely since the assasination. Make no mistake , Harriri , holds Syria partially respsonsible for the murder of his father and believes they assisted Hizbullah. But it was also crystal clear to all that he made an attempt to ease tensions with the govt. of Syria during this volatile period. Note he says HE withdraws the accusation. But the fact is HE isnt the Tribunal and we dont know yet exactly what it will report and who all it will implicate in the assasination. The Lebanese people and Harriri himself deserve to know who assasinated the elder Harriri.
