Then word it a little differently. Maybe say something along the lines of: "we currently have under 50K SUBS, but we have things in our pipeline that should get us over that mark and approaching 100K by year's end." Now, if you don't hit that number there won't be as many questioning him.

But hey thats just me, he said what he said. Lets just hope he lays it all out as to why he said what he did, and why they are off their numbers.
