In general, I’d rather own companies whose sales in Russia come from such “non-strategic” items as tractors (DE) and ketchup (HNZ) rather than natural resources. One reason I do not favor COP is its equity stake in Lukoil, although COP’s stake has recently been lowered, making COP somewhat more attractive than it used to be.
