Excellent Roadog... What some here may need is a better understanding of 4G's relation to what is coming. Essentially the communication highway requires widening. Why?...because if you have ever attempted downloading a game to your handset, or watching a video using 3G speeds, begin considering what would happen with the web when immense numbers of consumers suddenly engage compelling ads (2D codes) to download games, movies, and other data-intensive applications (many more than exist today). The web could be brought to its knees.

However, 4G significantly changes the dynamic as a result of its enhanced speed. Your wireless handset connection will now be faster than your DSL. I'm referring to speeds of 5mb/sec. Then of course there is "fixed mobile" at speeds of say 30mb/sec, and then "fixed" at approx 100mb/sec (these latter two do not apply to handsets).

Road, IMO you are spot on. Btw, Verizon's LTE handsets will launch in Q1, T-Mobile has launched 4G (HSPA+), Sprint (WiMax [they have also licensed LTE]) was first to launch (this year), and AT&T should be launching 4G handsets soon (HSPA+/LTE).

Best,
