Reminder

If IBM starts moving to IBM with 1.2 there will be a tiny bit of revenue from each NSM sale AND we still don't know the marketing plan if any from IBM and HP to deal with Wave and 1.2 features.

All the discussion is about the length of the hockey stick blade.
I simply don't know the length of the blade and/or the length of the handle. SKS has some idea at this point.

Nobody has mentioned that he said quarter 1 results will be available in five six weeks...Was this a mistake or a hint that next quarterly might be early and coincide with WinHec?

Don't underestimate the impact of the Lemos article today. The IT guys willl get it fast now that it is being "splained" to them and it seems that the splainers are beginning to understand what they need to understand. Lemos is the ripple effect of "If Dell is selling it standard on a machine I might buy, I better know what's going on!!!!"

SKS has consistently said that he (and everybody else) didn't know the initial adoption rate for the paradigm shift, but would you not buy the software recommended by Dell to improve security for a $20 buck add on...once you understood that it would connect with Longhorn in a year?

Six months ago the sale was very difficult. Today it is a bit confusing. By the end of the year IMO it will be almost an afterthought to buy the security software along with the TPM.

Differnent guesses on adoption rates is why there is volatility. Also remember, the sale of Intel motherboards is a very white box thing. Now that Dell is committed -- the white box makers may start building and selling many more machines.
