Kimble, the longer we go without seeing it, I guess the more validity that comes to your theory. I just couldn't for the life of me think it was possible for the CEO to state plain as day on his last CC that the DVIS did in fact produce the 3D "Realtime" and it was ready for production. These are not quotes, but I don't remember his exact words. At that point I felt pretty confident a person of Deans stature would no way risk his freedom by making those statements in that public forum, if in fact it does not work as advertised. I don't know all the laws in these matters, but it sure seems risky to me. Being stubborn is one thing, and I still find it hard to believe he would push that level of risk.
Maybe it works, but does have some flaws regarding the quality of the images, and he didn't foresee having trouble getting it fine tuned, and is now a little stuck. I surely don't know the absolute truth here, but damn I can't wait for the day we all find out!!
