It looks like Wencor did proceed with developing an embedded digEplayer without Inflight Canada. Now the big question is whether or not e.Digital will be the manufacturing entity as they are with the portable model.

I wonder if a direct question posed to Putnam specifically asking the above would yield a definitive answer (not simply "is e.Digial involved?). The company has not mentioned the embedded player in their most recent communications.

APS founder Bill Boyer showed an embedded version of digEplayer incorporating a credit-card swipe to facilitate transactions and said that he expected to announce orders from three carriers within the next few weeks. He also indicated that lead digEplayer user Alaska Airlines was renting out on average 80-100 per cent of the stock of units carried on flights in excess of two and a half hours.
