From the Kitco mining conference on 9/13 ... Tracy asked them about Pebble and Uranium. They really liked Pebble, not as much for Uranium. This summarizes their response:
The uranium outlook was not as encouraging for them. Eric noted that the demand for uranium would be up shorter term in Asia. But David, who is the geology guy noted that opening uranium mines could take about 10 years. They don't believe commodities have borders so they don't care where uranium comes from. They did not show interest in uranium investments for now. But that makes sense, since they are all about "projects" and they like to see reserves in place.
Please share what additional information you received. I've always looked at the uranium deposits as a long term asset BUT could help in the immediate if we are being looked at by other companies.
