antivirus software only works on a known virus. the only way they can be known is that a certain % of the population has become infected thus allowing the av software writers to study the virus and recognize it in the future.
That is why I leave my real time scanner on. It not only scans my activity in real time, it also updates the known virus library in real time. It adds entries virtually every day. The hackers and mischief makers out there are working around the clock. Hopefully the A/V programs keep pace with them.
The sandbox idea is pretty cool though. I am going to look in to it. If I had any noticeable slow downs due to my A/V program at all I would definitely use a program like that more often. Thanks for the tip!!
"Sort of" is harmless "Sort of". Is a filler. But sometimes, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
