When JR made those claims I don't think he had access to the finances of Quasar as intimately as he does now. Although he might believe that it has great potential, he must do what is right for the company at this stage in its development, and that means cutting anything that will not add value to the company immediately.

If you ask him, he would probably still say that the claims he about CET are still his beliefs, just not financially prudent at this stage of the game.

The cutting of CET also could have something to do with Dean stepping down... CET did seem to have a specific connection to Dean Bradley.
