Re: The problem with TPM PC deployment to public is that the public has to purchase a new PC. It has been easy and cheap to purchase software, but a new PC can be a real burden to many. Cost is what I think will slow the deployment in the private sector.

I agree. The bulk of regular consumers only buy a new PC when that which they use it for the most begins to suffer in performance and/or it requires a desired software upgrade that might not be handled well with their current PC specs.

I see little problem with business deployment, however, considering security has become their number one issue.
