Of course I am not wrong. Simple math proves it. The AS is 3 billion. The OS is 2 1/2 billion. If there were 1 billion shares permanently retired, the OS could not be more than 2 billion. Yet everyone, the longs, the TA and the company agree the OS is 2 1/2 billion (+/-).

BTW, shares cannot be "permanently retired" unless the AS is changed. In the case of GDHI the AS would have to be dropped to 2 billon, rather than the current 3 billion, to consider 1 billion shares permanently retired. The AS is still 3 BILLION. No shares have been permanently retired.
