Dude. I've played golf for 45 years and worked at a course also in my younger days. I know all that...the aerification I mentioned is in addition to the burned greens making it hard to find a decent place to play right now... And this year the heat was so oppressive, the syringing just couldn;t keep them cool enough...60-70% dumb greenskeepers in the entire southeastern US?...I don't think so.... Bermuda fairways and tees here don't "burn" in the heat, they simply get dried out and brown. They recover as soon as they get water..... Greens here cost an average of $50.000 to build...there are several courses in the area currently having to do that due to the recordbreaking heat this summer.
