Check out Griffs 18 holes in 13 minutes with Jake Trout and the flounders giving a little background music....Youtube @Geezergolf with Tony
For anyone still here or interested, I have just opened my new youtube channel a week ago. Search youtube for "Geezergolf with Tony" to find it...it's a little "rough" right now because I'm learning as I go...from videoing to editing to ...well everything. Pretty much all from tutorials since I have no one to show me how! I'm enjoying the process...check it out and maybe give me a subscribe.........
ahhh our course opens in a few days and it is really cold and Im not playing yet thankfully also heading south is a few days so as far as I am concerned it can show here next month LOL - so selfish of me
Should of bought the place I wanted 12 years ago when the market collapsed in Reunion Florida - they were stop[ping some construction midway as buy way 1/2 the price of building. Not so now many are up 300-400 % from 2010. Oh well about 872 bad money decision I have made. Hard to believe I have two coppers to rub together
Golf is a game of excuses - I like this one :
"My shirt isn't wicking properly"
Nice Golf investment Watch; Chinese from Hong Kong and China etc. buying up Point Roberts, WA
an investment of $475K+ may give them a greencard and immigration
rights needed to move in full time to stay and work in US -
(vs. Canada require about $2mil. + for immigration)
They bought the golf course, Marina and developed farms -

Sounds like you had fun...good scores. That's what it's all about!
CC this weekend hit very well. bad breaks on SZatursday - unplayable in a trap. no shot lol double bogie. great day sunday with great guys beers etc followed by lake day, pool and fire night.
76 74 all good for 2nd div prizes
wow a buddy had a 66 last Saturday but today I was 75 and my second low of 35 rounds this year. just stating to strike it better now
YOU ARE ON FIRE
Last week playing at my home course a thunderstorm ran us off at 13 green...I was 5 under and we had 2 easy par 5's ahead. My buddies were willing to wait out the storm so I could most likely shoot my age again for the 5th time. I didn't really want to and good thing because it rained the rest of the day.
Well today we get to the same place and this time I'm 6 under...parred 14 and 15, then chipped in for eagle on the first easy par 5. Had to get up and down from 40 yards on 17 after my drive ticked a tree limb and I couldn't reach....so 8 under through 17. If I make birdie, I will beat my career low...good drive and I'm in range to get just short of the green in 2. Hit a 3 wood to the right and cutting and it goes into the only bunker on the hole...40 yards from the green. Managed to get that on about 25 feet and the putt did touch the hole but no cigar. I don't know if I'll ever get that chance again.....I'm getting old you know! Playing really well lately though. Such fun!
well a year later I have 15 rounds in - last year looks like my first was on the 21st or 22nd. played 116 rounds last year. 6 MONTH SEASON . AS USUAL STARTED OUIT AWFUL. but way better now - just needed to warm up
Agree the putting needs work but I like them too. I played Pebble Beach on one and it seemed pretty realistic. The one in my general area closed up, I guess not enough business.
One of my students has one in his basement, lol, owns a realty company.
I have played about 50 rounds on GOLFZON simulators. other than the putting I like them and its great in the winter.
Have you ever played a course on a simulator?
lol and just got a text to play tomorrow at a course not closed yet
That's a lotta golf for 6 months!
well folks that is a wrap. Course closed today. 116 rounds since May 20th. 4 in the 80s 2 in the 60s and most 74-77
265? air is thinning down there lol
Same here all year, courses jammed due to covid. I'm glad that at least some industry (golf) has done well this year.
I have given lessons to many guys 80 or more and some of them shock me and give me great hope that You don't have to be frail ans weak at that age. Guy last week was 81 (I didn't know until he mentioned it), was hitting driver about 210-220....
I'm still at about 265 but I'm "only" (as of today) 66 years old, lol.
Playing today at 12:30....
a little more civil yesterday and even through 11 today for 4 over today. 7 over yesterday. Striking it well no putts sinking and the short game is my game because normally I need it LOL
just looked 92 rounds since may 16. I seriously would of went out for second round today it was so beautiful out but tee sheet was jammed - our course is up 55% in rounds played as many are - nothing else to do.
My goal is stay healthy and be able to play a long time till early 80s but we all know the body will not cooperate - Not interested in hitting a driver 150 yards. I was about 240 off tee today at 57 years old - I have some buddies around 40 still hitting hit over 300. one guys is sick - 320 easy with 50 foot draw plays 12 times a year and soft hands and putts well. plays to a 4 but if he played at all scratch no problem. too many kids at home
Wow...somebody invaded your body?
that gives ya more fun....I even like the short executive courses but its hard to find one in decent shape
Blues are long gone - I like 6400 to 650 for a par 72
dont play the blue tees anymore or the whites....Gold tees for us
hit every fairway except first hole where I was one foot off. Now I do not hit it 270 anymore either more like 230-240
In the Zone, those are the best days
I found my swing today LOL after 90 rounds and a few bogies out of the gate hit 11 of the last 12 greens and went 5 under through that stretch missing 2 birdies putts under 10 feet
I did not start playing till 1982, 30 years old, use to go to the driving range till i had blisters but I just had to learn how to hit a ball and thats the only way for a beginner, find your own swing
Nice, I play once a week during the week at 6:30 am showered at work by 10 easy of course I work from home and no hole in one but I just started playing in 1973
I use to get off work at noon and had to go back 5 to 9....every afternoon at the club playing 18, shower go back to work, wife was at work , kids were in school, what was I to do....lolol....even had a hole in one on Good friday the 13th.....true story
MY course is in middle of city. 8 minutes from my house and was about 8 minutes from my business before I sold 10 years ago It was in the middle. have a few beers car stays - get it next day as all my golfing buddies live within 500 yards of my home. Apparently I left my car 7 consecutive Friday nights 2 years ago. That would be a wife stat. One year in CC I played Thursday and got drunkish, Played Friday and then 2 days of CC Sat and Sunday. I got my car Tuesday morning LOL
good to hear your still bending balls, I always thought golf was where you could go to be in the country while in the city,,,best i ever got was a 12 handicapp, Not TV material ....
intesresting week. driving the ball well for first time in years after dropping 20 pounds. Monday morning 4 birds on front for a 2 over day. tuesday was 3 over. Thursday lost staright up match play to a guy who should of played D1. he had 1 bad hole one bogie 4 birdies and of course \i birdied his one triple hole lol. I got spanked. friday was awful . today was 6 birdies and 2 under EDITB I M NOT YOUNG 55 YEARS OLD
lots of summer rounds coming , you'll get warmed up
Started out very shitty this year 8 rounds in now course opened on the 21st. bad leg and now a shoulder plus fat. covid fat on top of fat.
Yesterday topped my drive on first hole just past the ladies tee. Hit a tree later on and ball went backwards on 11 and a lost ball on 7. Old flat stick solves a lot of problems en route to a 76 as most rounds had been in the 80s
club opened today - Frost delay my time cancelled lol
Check out these 8 photos that go inside Augusta National’s exclusive clubhouse......

Noone knows really - I think everything is day by day and really week by week. we are about 3 weeks out from normal open anyway . Last year I think we were May 3 or 4 but this year they would be ready earlier just the way things wintered. Still cold though . next two weeks we dont get in to the 50s much - I need double digit Celsuius so thats 50 on the nose Celx1.8 plus 32 = Farh
even the simulator places are closed. But one thing we do well is drink. The breweries are running out of bottles due to return places shut down - we recycle and drink far more bottled product that cans. Long story that they taxes cans heavier because they required less people to produce. Great government in action.
also everyone drinking more - day drinking not just for us hardy folks - Everyone is doing it. Weekday and morning drinking now the norm LOL
We allow anyone that is over 50 to join. Put a sign up on the clubhouse door and a lot of people joined from word of mouth. We even have a woman member! lol
I handle all the handicapping and scoring and it's a lot of work! I figured I entered over 34,000 individual hole scores last season (we play mid-March to mid-October).
Saw your video's...pretty cool! Do you do a lot of lessons?
Are the courses going to open up there once the weather improves?
Oh come on, you've never played anything by any rules!!! lol
Wow what a recruiter you are! More and more seniors being made every day it seems.
I've played a few time under those rules, not really a big deal and we always walk anyway. one course put cut off pool noodles in the cup and stuck the flagstick through them to keep the ball from going down...
We have a "stay at home" order too, but I just went to Lowes this afternoon to get a few seeds for the veggie garden and let me tell you it was packed, just like the grocery stores! I'd say about 20% of the people there had masks, almost nobody staying the 6 foot distance, seems like people aren't that worried about it. I'll use good sense about it but I'm not all that worried either and my life hasn't changed all that much other than we can't go out to eat. My county only has reported 3 or 4 confirmed cases anyway.
I may have mentioned this before but for the last 3 years I've been teaching single plane golf through a technique called "Setup 4 Impact"
If you haven't already, check it out at learninggolf.tv. I'm listed as a certified instructor there and if you look real hard you might see my video, lol. The guys name is Kirk Junge and you can find a lot of his stuff on youtube.
Get on out there and play, there's not a lot else to do as the people around here have learned and flooded the courses. I was at my home course twice last week and at 4pm they were still lined up at the first tee.
jesusd I would love to play a round of golf right now. I dont give a shit about whatever new rules they have I will play by them
