Weaks - I don't buy into this sectoral downturn excuse either. For a company with such pitiful sales volume the downturn should be masked by their expansion into new markets. However I am wondering if their heavy exposure to Japan has hit them. I haven't seen a recent breakdown of sales by region so am guessing, but the lions share of sales used to be in Japan. Japan right now is teetering on the edge of a financial abyss. The government has almost implicitly acknowledged that they may not be able to bail out the banking system, and since they have a deflationary economy the bad debts are getting bigger in real terms. Also as someone mentioned summer is peak sales time because bonuses are paid in the summer (typically 2-3 months salary, hence it has a major effect) For this reason the most encouraging aspect of the CC for me was the design win in China.
I also wonder if anyone who is thinking about buying a sub-notebook now wouldn't rather wait a few months and see what the tablets are like.
