I have both Scottrade and Etrade. Scottrade has blocked me from making trades numerous times. I opened my etrade account as a result of this.
If you research Roger Riney you will see what PTR has suggested. It is a rather incestuous relationship between Roger Riney of Scottrade and Nite. Etrade is its own MM. Both have a fiduciary responsibility to their customers yet only etrade seems to act on the behalf of theirs.
