The likelihood of agliyx patent's standing up under a court challenge is small I think.
The process has been around for a long time, unless they claim that the vacuum is a new technique.
JBII has a catalyst that is as far as we know unique. JBII also operates at lower temps than other pyrolysis systems. Whether the lower temp part of the process is patentable is an open question.
Agilyx has a demonstration plant in operation. JBII will have a production plant in operation shortly.
How much is Agilyx receiving for each bbl of it's "Crude oil"?
It is pyrolysis oil so it must have lots of nasty stuff in it since their process has to have all sorts of scrubbers and a permit to emit VOC's and HAP's.
Do you think they get as much as 45$ a bbl?
