Am reading a very grim, but warm and wonderful book by an American MD, "How We Die" by Sherwin Nuland (yes, I know I am wierd and warped.....my family tells me so regularly).
My point is that the book just screams out "stem cells" to me, although Nuland himself might be horrified to hear me say that. Written in 1993, before stem cells came to the fore.
On an equally gruesome but lighter note, read Tom Jokinen's "Curtains: Adventures of an Undertaker-in-Training". Hilarious, although I think would go better with beer than stem cells.
