You either have way too much time on your hands on a Sunday morning, have your priorities so much in line that you can devote that kind of time to that kind of endeavour on a Sunday morning, or you're far bet at writing 'bots than most WebTV users would be expected to be.

Very interesting stat, nonetheless.

I've got a hypothesis, though: The word "hate" would appear in more than 22% of the posts if private messages were included. I've got access to the database and the full-text indexer includes private messages; the search function on the site just excludes them. I'll check.

Hate: 3,337 (24.8%)
Love: 10,086 (75.2%)

Hmmm... Would've expected a wider difference since "hate" is something we would be more inclined to express privately instead of publicly. Not the case, though.
