Which emotion is stronger?

LOVE or HATE

Seeing others having fun with the new features here on IHUB with the Word Finder and Anagram Solver made me think about the other great feature here at IHUB, being SEARCH.

The emotions of LOVE and HATE are two of the strongest emotions known to man. So ... I got to thinking...

<THINK>Which of the words LOVE or HATE show up the most in posts on IHUB?</THINK>

After doing a search seperately for the words LOVE and HATE on all of the IHUB Database I was pleased and am happy to announce that LOVE wins out.....

78% to 22%!

Of the over 535,000 posts currently on IHUB...

Approximately 8300 posts contain the word LOVE.

Approximately 2400 posts contain the word HATE.

This is not a specific study of why the words were used, nor in what context they were meant. Just a mere statiscal phenomenally.

<SMALL PRINT>Disclaimer: I would LOVE to think that people find this post of some small interest but would HATE to think that people think that perhaps I have too much time on my hands. LOL!</SMALL PRINT>

(Interesting sidenote: Prior to 9/11/01 the ratio was not as far spread between the two than AFTER 9/11/01)
