E.S. - I heard on one of the weekend business shows today that Greenspan 'pumped liquidity' into the market late Wednesday. The thought was that he had seen the numbers coming, got 'scared' and took this action.

I don't know what 'pumped liquidity' into the system means, and if he did take some specific action that had the dramatic Thursday and Friday effect, then I would like to know what it was! Sure glad I did not have any short positions!

BTW, I have heard this term on several occasions - generally in critique of Treas. Sec O'Neill.

So far this weekend I have read articles that passionately declare that this is either the last gasp before a tremendous crash, or this is your last chance to get on board before the markets blast off! May be a good time to let AIM make the critical decisions!
