Maybe in financial (as far as us little guys know), but not in test results, posting realistic time-lines, up listing progress etc.

Heck, the website could be considered "lying by omission".

But, there are tons of companies that do the same thing (lie by omission) so it's all part of the game, IMO. Company's don't want to post everything, esp the "not so good" stuff unless forced to (Toyota comes to mind).
