Welcome to Naples!
http://www.life-in-naples.com/
Naples was once regarded as a winter get-away for the well to do and famous. Today, it is one of the most beautiful small cities in the country. Situated in the southwest corner of Florida (Collier County) right along the Gulf of Mexico, it has matured over the last decade. Over that span of time, Collier County population has grown 65%. This burgeoning gem is a wonderful place to raise a Family or retire.

Natural beauty abounds: Palm trees, the Gulf of Mexico, inland waterways, waterfalls, sunshine, and white, sandy beaches all figure into the equation for what has become a beautiful city. Anyone who relocates to Naples will be able to appreciate this magnificent natural beauty. No longer is Naples considered a sleepy little beach community.

The City of Naples and its people have done a wonderful job of preserving the natural beauty while they've developed a charming environment to work and play in. In addition to being beautiful, Naples offers so much to do. Naples is the only city to have two Ritz Carlton resorts within its boundaries: Naples has the Ritz Carlton Naples located along the beach and the Ritz Carlton Naples Golf Resort located at the Tiburon Golf Club.

Whether you're into boating, fishing, golfing, sightseeing, hiking, kayaking, shopping, or swamp buggying through the Everglades you can go do it all and a whole lot more in Naples. For those with a taste for the finer things, the shops on Fifth Avenue and Third Street specialixe in name designer clothes. There is also plenty of historical and cultural activity to be taken in throughout Collier County. Naples is the County seat.

There are over 50 art galleries in Naples featuring local and international works and there are also two Art museums plus the Philharmonic Center for the Arts which has been highly acclaimed. Naples also offers outdoor art shows that are exhibited at various times throughout the year. In Naples you will also find local theatre and a dinner theatre. Dining out in Naples is also a treat as many restaurants are home to world-class chefs.

But Naples isn't just about having fun. The business community and opportunities have grown along with everything else. Over the last decade, Naples economic base has been nicely diversified bringing increasing numbers of families and jobs to the area as shown by the fact that there are no few than 50 financial institutions in Naples. Naples is in the top 5 cities in the United States in millionaires per capita, With a relatively modest cost of living and a median household income $10,000 above the national median household income, living and working in Naples makes sound economic sense.

The county population is currently estimated at 265,000 and growing. It has become a relocation hot spot. People move to Naples for any number of reasons. Climate is certainly one of them. Naples boasts an average January temperature of 64 degrees Fahrenheit. And in July, the average temperature is 83 degrees.

Although Naples is definitely considered an affluent community, the cost of living ranks below the national average. Housing can be as affordable or as extravagant as you wish. It can also be as elegant as you want it to be. There are many housing choices from which one can choose when moving to Naples.

Naples provides a nurturing environment in which to raise a family. There are two top-rate hospitals in the area: Naples Community Hospital and Cleveland clinic, both of which have physicians specializing in all areas of health care. Naples also has a low crime rate, and a solid school system providing an excellent educational opportunity to all. This educational opportunity is exhibited by the presence of four institutions of higher learning in the area: Florida Gulf Coast University, Ava Maria University, Edison College, and International College. These qualities of Naples that you can’t see in the beautiful pictures, yet are very important to families on the move.
