I also remember a hepatologist telling me the Hep C virus will be easier to cure than the HIV virus due to the difference in their viral replication patterns. By no means do i know this for sure , i am asking what you think?

HCV is indeed easier to cure than HIV, but this is because HCV does not integrate into the host genome. It sounds as though the comment you’re referring to is about the relative difficulty of developing a vaccine, which is an altogether different matter.

I would refer to these as mutation sites rather than replication sites.
