Re: Spallz--Think - Freedom and slavery

I think that the problem with the current crop of environmentalists is that they are stuck in the 60's mode of counting on governmental protections and are primarily concerned with how nature "looks" as opposed to changing our economy to allow for greater wealth, which decreases human population over time, while creating a green-economy based on more enviromentally friendly products. I really believe that a Hemp based economy would solve many of our problems, if we could just convince the brainwashed of our country that marijuana is not an Evil Plant. I have been reading some things lately that point towards a change in the Repub attitude towards the FWOD. I think that they know what is coming and may actually jump ahead of the Democs on this issue. If Bush legalizes pot or goes in that direction and the Democs keep their heads in the sand, he will win in 2004. People just don't realize how much support he would receive for taking this pro-freedom stance. But, then I think about the people (big oil) who own him, and their opposition to competition from industrial Hemp, and I don't get my hopes up to High.
