Not sure about slugs, but of course snails can be very cute, with their little horns.

I once saw a video on Animal Planet about a snail in someone's fish tank. It'd work its way over to the bubbler, climb up, and enjoy the ride to the top of the tank. Then it'd slowly sink and do it all over again.

Not stupid.
